Pete Baker has excited and engaged the local community through his recent work at South Bank Studios. Baker had the opportunity to use the main hall as a creative site throughout October allowing him space to produce a stunning, quirky installation that is visually delightful and thought provoking. Displayed over four days visitors have included local artists, friends, and the wider South Bank community.
The concept of ‘balance’ is central to Baker’s composition comprising of three magical ceiling structures of delicate leaves that intersect with ‘trunks’ composed of wooden blocks. The result is an ephemeral dream-like installation – and was a must see. Watch out for Baker’s future work at South Bank Studio and beyond.
