About South Bank Studios

South Bank Studios was established August 2018 as a creative community of 19 artists based on the upper level of Southlands Methodist Church on the vibrant Bishopthorpe Road in York.

Our Community Studios and Loft Studios are sited on the first floor between the upper community hall and the loft space above the main church.

We work across a range of disciplines that includes: painting, textile art, installation art, jewellery and metalwork, printmaking, collage, photography, social and theatre design.
