South Bank Studios will be a venue for North Yorkshire Open Studios for the first time this year - as Jo Yeates, our paper and textile artist, will be exhibiting as part of the event.

Jo works in mixed media, inspired by the many possibilities of fabric, paper, paint and stitch. Much of her work incorporates repurposed and vintage materials and the patina of age that they bring. Fabrics and papers are painted, torn and layered, then hand or machine stitched to make land and seascapes and more abstract pieces.
