Sonic Traces @ Hungate Reading Cafe

Bringing together a diverse group of artists to create a large-scalecollaborative drawing in response to a sonic soundscape.

Sonic Traces brings together a diverse group of artists, whose practices converge through the medium of drawing. Throughout the course of the day, a large-scale collaborative drawing will be created in response to a continuously changing soundscape; encompassing environmental sounds through to experimental music.

Participants will have free reign to interpret the sounds they hear by translating their sensory experiences of sonic textures and atmospheric vibrations into marks on paper.

Visitors are welcome to enter the space and experience the creation of the artwork as it develops.
