Jo is a textile artist and maker working with fabric, paper, paint and stitch.  She joined South Bank Studios in December 2020, and is a member of York Textile Artists.

 She uses reclaimed and repurposed fabrics and all manner of papers, including maps, books, and vintage documents.  These materials are often altered through painting and mono-printing before being torn, layered and pieced in to seascapes, landscapes, and abstract works.

 Pieces are embellished with hand- and machine-stitching, and through the addition of text and ephemera.

 Jo loves to put the ‘text’ in to ‘textile art’.
