We host regular events here at South Bank Studios and hope you can join us. Including regular art classes, creative workshops, and monthly drawing and craft groups. Our artists also take part in York Open studios’ each April, as well as our annual Winter Fair in November, and other collaborative local events like Heritage Open Days.

Donna Maria Taylor will be running a new art holiday to the mountains of southern Spain in May 2024.

Morocco 2024 - sketching holiday
Tuesday 30th January to Tuesday 6th February 2024
Join resident artist and tutor - Donna Maria Taylor - on a week long sketching & cultural holiday in Morocco. Cost (approx. £750) to include accommodation for 7 nights in twin/double rooms (limited single rooms available for supplement), substantial breakfasts; lunch, vegetarian evening meals for 7 nights,, transfers to and from Agadir airport to/from the Manchester - Agadir direct flight. Excludes cost of flights (usually less than £100 return if booked early), travel insurance, tips.

Artists and the Human Form
South Bank Studios artists - CAROLYN COLES and DONNA MARIA TAYLOR - have some of their artwork in Pyramid Gallery until 25th June 2023.
The exhibition celebrates the art of life drawing as part of an artists creative practice.
Other work represented includes thot of artists who are a part of the Donderdag (Thursday night) life drawing sessions at St Mary’s Church Hall in York.
